Each singer is different in their interests, background and goals. Lessons are designed individually to help the singer develop all of their potential and meet their goals. Singers will focus on breathing techniques, vocal exercises, musical interpretation and performance practices to help them musically express themselves.
Singers can choose what style of music they most want to focus on and they will be given exposure to new musical styles. Coaching is given for auditions, competitions, and upcoming performances. Hancock Vocal Studio welcomes novice singers as well as seasoned musicians. Singers from Hancock Vocal Studios can be found singing with members of the Vancouver Symphony, Stumptown Theaters, leads in University and High School music productions, headliners at local jazz events. Singers from Hancock Vocal Studio have graduated as Music Majors from OSU, PSU and Marylhurst Universities.
