STUDIO POLICY
Now accepting beginning through intermediate students of all ages.
Attendance
The client is financially responsible for the arranged lesson time, regardless of whether you attend. Lessons times MAY be able to rescheduled with 24 hour notification. Cancellations without 24 hours notice will be considered forfeited and tuition is due in full. Make-up lessons are on my availability. If I must cancel a class, a refund will be given. Timeliness is essential, call or text if you will be late. Parents of young children are welcome and encouraged to stay in the studio during your child’s lesson. If you choose to drop off your child, you are expected to pick them up promptly after the lesson.
Tuition
30 minute lessons $30
45 minute lessons $42
60 minute lessons $55
Tuition may be paid at the end of each lesson or one month in advance (example: September's tuition would be paid the first lesson in September). Cash, checks and credit accepted. Make checks out to Pollyanna Hancock-Moody, credit adds a 2.5% service fee. In home lessons maybe available, inquire about schedule and additional mileage charges. Tuition is subject to change.
Student Responsibilities
Preparation for lessons, include: arriving promptly, with music and tuition in hand. Students are expected to practice five days a week. Parents set a practice schedule for your children and give then an area where they will not be distracted with outside stimulus.
Music
Young students will use the Faber Piano Adventure Curriculum. This is a complete curriculum that incorporates Performance Songs, Etudes, Theory, Sight reading, Technique & Artistry and more. Adult students will use Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course Curriculum. Supplemental songs will be added and students are welcome to bring in songs. Students can either purchase the books themselves, or pay the instructor in advance to purchase books for them. There will be a $5 handling charge in addition to shipping for this service.

Syllabus
Hancock Music Studio now offers Syllabus. Syllabus is a music curriculum that covers technique, music theory, sight reading, rhythm reading, and repertoire. The ten levels of Syllabus are graduated in difficulty and challenge students to achieve musical goals. After completion of a level, students can opt to be assessed by a master teacher who provides a helpful critique.
